Conducting a successful business meeting is essential in business coaching consulting. There are eight steps that are involved with conducting a business meeting.
Step one which is preparation. In business coaching consulting advance preparation is required. The better prepared you are, the more effective the meeting will be and the more meaningful the contributions will be.
Step two is timing. A business meeting should be held according to a scheduled time frame, and it should begin and close by the noted time.
The third step is the agenda setting step, which means there should be an agenda which specifically states the topics to be included in the meeting. Agenda setting is important because it gives a good idea of what is to be talked about, thereby allowing all of the participants to prepare beforehand for the proposed topics.
Focus is the fourth step to a successful business meeting. It's important that the focus of the meeting should be maintained steadfastly on the topics which were agreed beforehand.
The fifth step, communication, is very important in that complete and accurate information should always be provided in every meeting to ensure effective communication.
The sixth step in business coaching consulting is agreement. Often during a meeting, the views of two or more people won't match, but it's crucial that at the end of the meeting all of the participants agree on a common decision.
Step seven is feedback which is important in business coaching consulting. A meeting may be successful in achieving the desired result. However, there is still room for improvement. To have an idea how effective the meeting was, feedback from the participants is needed.
The final step is confidentiality because material disclosed in the meeting should be between the attendants only, which builds a trusting relationship.
I understand this is an exploratory discussion only and that you are under no obligation to work with me, and I will not be required to commit to any course of action.
